Money, Money, Money!
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009Who has all the money? Who is going to benefit from all the government money?
Well, I can tell you it is not our family. My mom and dad are both retired and that is the income they have. They don’t qualify for anything–not even the EITC. Their retirement does not count as earned income, and therefore, they don’t qualify. They receive $335.00 a month as dividends; therefore, they don’t qualify. Our mortgage is not eligible, although our mortgagor received government money. Government money is only going toward Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to help out with mortgages; therefore, they don’t qualify.
It seems as if all the government money is going to people who don’t really need it.
