Mom checks on me all the time, though. I don’t know exactly what she puts in it to make it smell good, but I like that, too. Also, the bubbles tickle, and I sneeze a lot, but it’s worth it.

Back to the other animals (or little furry creatures; hmmm . . . some aren’t furry but that’s okay). Have you ever noticed how humans smell? Some smell real good (like my mom) and some smell real bad (like my neighbor). Do you know why my mom smells so good? Well, I asked–sorta, I smelled her a lot–and she told me. Actually, I saw her spraying something from a bottle behind her ears. Who but humans would do this? I don’t have a behind-the-ears kind of head.

Mom explained that what she was doing was putting on perfume–a certain perfume, to be exact. Calvin Klein’s Obsession is the exact name–to be more exact. She said it made her smell heavenly, whatever that means. She said it is a blend of vanilla, amber, orange blossom, oakmoss and other oriental spices. I guess she knows what she’s saying, because I didn’t quite understand all of it. All I know is that it makes mom smell real good. She said that when she wears it out in public other humans always tell her how good she smells; mom likes that. Mom also told me that dad really, really likes it; I guess that why he buys it for her.

I don’t know where dad buys it, but I’m sure glad he does.
