I wish I had a lot of things to tell you about today, but I don’t.

It was 97-degrees outside today at 5:30, and that’s when we started to go exploring. We got part way there, and I wanted to go back home. I was panting so fast and hard that one would think I was a was in a boat riding choppy waves; gracious, I was hot. Hilde turned around when I did and started following me. Paul tried to get us to come back, but we just kept on going towards home.

Finally, Paul and Kasha started to follow us home. Hilde and I arrived about a full minute before they got home, and we were already lying on the nice and cool tile floor. I am so glad dad got real-stone tiles when he and mom decided to replace all the carpet in our house except for the bedrooms. I cannot begin to express how quickly I started to cool down; I guess lying on inch-thick pieces of stone tile helps.

Anyway, I waited until the sun set before I went back outside. The breeze was nice and cool by then, and Hilde and I lay out in the grass for about 30 minutes, mom said. We came in and ate supper, and now I’m going to bed.

Maybe I will have more to write about tomorrow.
