Sleepover!
Thursday, February 5th, 2009The other night when mom and I went to bed, Hilde didn’t come with us. I wondered why but couldn’t ask.
The next morning when we got up, and mom was fixing breakfast for us, Hilde came wandering down the hall toward the kitchen. She was all happy; I wondered if it was because she smelled bacon or if it was to see me. I should have known better. She bypassed me on the floor by mom and stuck her nose up by the frying bacon.
Don’t get me wrong, I know Hilde loves me and mom, but her stomach was guiding her actions. She couldn’t help it. Like all of us, the urge to eat is strong, especially when it’s bacon.
Have you heard of or seen the commercial about Beggin’ Strips? If not, you should not watch it. No matter what that commercial says, those strips are not as good as bacon. Oh, they might be for those of us that have never had real bacon. But, mom says artificial anything is not good for us. And, since those strips must have artificial flavor, they can’t be good for us. Need I say more?
At any rate, Hilde must have thought she missed out on something, because she hasn’t had a sleepover with Kasha since then. I can’t get Hilde to tell me what happened during her hiatus, so I guess I’ll just nose around and see if Paul tells mom what they did.
